Deep Sky Objects

 

In order to begin, some colorful multiple stars. Webcam at the prime focus of the C8.

On the left,
Albireo, Beta Cygnus
spectral types K3 II and B9.

On the right,
Izar, Epsilon Böötes
spectral types K0 and A2V.

Achird, Eta Cassiopeia
spectral types F8 and F9V.

The stars of the trapezium in Orion (Theta Orionis), with their usual designation.
'C' is a O6 star, the spectral type of the other ones is B0V.
The 'E' star is clearly visible, but the 'F' one can't be tell from the halo of 'C'.

These pictures have been taken with a Canon 300D Rebel camera, fit over my telescope. Manual guiding with the telescope.

NGC7000, the America nebula.

Kimble's cascade
The Kimble's cascade and NGC1502 -at the bottom of the cascade, in Camelopardalis.
As Cr399, it's not a star cluster, only an asterism.
Zoom-lens at 135mm.

5 shots of 1 minute exposure, sensibility 400ISO.

 


The next pictures have been taken with a Digital SLR camera Canon Rebel (300D), fit at the prime focus of the telescope. There is no guiding, the Skysensor is driving the mount.

The Coathanger cluster, Cr399, in Vulpecula.
It's not a true star cluster, only an asterism. In other words, some randomly aligned stars.

Kimble's cascade
The Kemble's cascade and NGC1502 -at the bottom of the cascade, in Camelopardalis.
As Cr399, it's not a star cluster, only an asterism.

The Southern part of Orion.
You can clearly see M42, M43 and NGC1977 on the bottom of the image, and NGC2024, the Flame nebula, on the West and South of Alnitak.
